We are not looking for CVs.
We are looking for people who want responsibility.

At DMG, anyone who structures a project is responsible for the result – not just the delivery. We check this in the application process. Not with standard questions. But with real project situations that show how someone thinks, decides and communicates.

What interests us

Not which technologies you know.
Not how many years of experience you have.

We are interested in how you deal with unclear requirements. How you prepare and make decisions. How you communicate with technical decision-makers. And whether you actively take on responsibility – or wait until someone else does.
That’s the way we work at DMG. And that’s what we test in the process.

The process – six steps

Step 1
Your application

Send us your documents or contact us directly. We don’t look at stations and technologies alone – the degree of responsibility, decision-making and project types in your previous career are decisive.

If something is unclear, we clarify it directly – without long preliminary phases.

Step 2
First interview

A brief exchange about motivation, understanding of roles, availability and framework conditions. Deliberately compact. If it doesn’t fit professionally, we say so at an early stage – without detours.

Step 3
Working methods and responsibility

The focus here is not on technical aptitude. We talk about how you deal with ambiguity, how you prepare decisions and how you communicate with customers and specialist departments.

At the same time, you get an honest insight into the reality of our projects. Not glossy – but how it really is.

Step 4
Technical task

You will be given a clearly defined task based on real project situations. It’s not about perfection or scope. It’s about structuring, prioritization and a clear recommendation instead of a list of options.

The time required is communicated transparently and deliberately limited.

Step 5
Preliminary discussion on the task

Before we enter into a professional discussion, we will briefly discuss your project in advance. Clarify questions of understanding, make assumptions transparent, compare expectations. This ensures that the discussion afterwards has depth instead of misunderstandings.

Step 6
Professional discussion

We analyze your solution together. The focus: thought structure, architectural considerations, dealing with risks, ability to formulate and defend a clear recommendation.

We don’t just assess knowledge – we assess judgment and responsibility.

What you can expect from the process

Clear communication and appointments. No repetition of the same conversation content. Prompt feedback after each step. No months of collecting candidates – we make a decision when we have sufficient information.

The entire process usually takes two to six weeks.

When it doesn’t fit

DMG is not an environment for everyone – and that is deliberate.

It is not suitable if you are only looking for clearly defined implementation tasks. If you don’t want a direct exchange with technical decision-makers. If you prefer to avoid decisions rather than make them. Or if you are primarily looking for predictability without ambiguity.

We don’t say that to scare people off. But because an honest assessment of both sides is better than an entry that doesn’t work after three months.

Questions and answers about our application process

How do I prepare for the first interview?

Reflect on specific situations in which you have taken on responsibility. What decisions did you prepare or make – and what were the consequences? You can use AI for preparation. It is crucial that you have gone through all the content yourself and can represent it independently. We ask intensive questions – unreflected answers quickly become visible.

How do I prepare for the technical task?

Focus on structure and argumentation. Make assumptions consciously and name them. Prioritize clearly and justify your recommendations. AI can be used as an aid – the decisive factor is that the argumentation is comprehensibly your own.

Does the process take place remotely?

Yes, the entire process takes place remotely.

Will I receive feedback in the event of a no-go?

In most cases, we provide detailed feedback on request. In some countries, this is legally restricted – we communicate this transparently.

What happens after a commitment?

We agree contractual details promptly and define a clear start date. Before your first day at work, you will receive transparency about your first project, a structured onboarding plan and clear contact persons. In the first few weeks, the focus is on taking on responsibility early on – not on settling in.
